Within the scope of Karabük University Common Mandatory Courses Exemption Exams Directive, the Exemption Exams for all Common Mandatory Courses in the 2026-2027 Academic Year will be held face-to-face and under supervision on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

All students are required to pay attention to the following matters regarding the exemption exams.

• Students who register for the first time in the relevant academic year, as well as continuing students who have never taken these courses before and/or failed these courses for any reason, may take the exemption exams for common mandatory courses.
• Students studying in the English preparatory class and TÖMER in the relevant academic year cannot take the exemption exams for that academic year.
• Students who have taken and passed the relevant courses in previous years but wish to raise their grades cannot take the exemption exams. Even if they take the exemption exams for the course or courses they have passed, the exam results of such students will be considered invalid.
• Students who register for the preparatory class in the relevant academic year and pass the exemption exam administered by the Directorate of the School of Foreign Languages are also exempt from Foreign Language courses, and therefore they can only take the exemption exams for Atatürk Principles and History of Revolutions and Turkish Language courses.
• Students who register for the preparatory class in the relevant academic year, continue the preparatory class, and successfully complete the English preparatory education at the B2 level are also exempt from Foreign Language courses, and therefore they can only take the exemption exams for Atatürk Principles and History of Revolutions and Turkish Language courses at the beginning of the next academic year.
• Students studying at TÖMER in the relevant academic year and who are successful can take the exemption exams at the beginning of the next academic year.
• Students who score below 60 as a result of the exemption exam are considered unsuccessful and are required to take these courses. Students who fail the exemption exam can retake the exemption exams held the following year. The numerical equivalent of the grade in the exam is determined according to the grade ranges and degrees in the absolute evaluation system specified in the Karabük University Measurement and Evaluation Principles Directive. However, no grade entry will be made to the system for students who take the exam but fail to achieve a passing score.
• Students may take courses from upper semesters in accordance with Article 21 of the Karabük University Associate and Undergraduate Education-Training and Examination Regulations, up to the total ECTS credits of the courses from which they are exempt as a result of the exam.
• No makeup exam will be held for students who apply for the exemption exams and do not attend the exam(s) for any reason.
• Procedures regarding the announcement of exam results and objections to the results are carried out in accordance with the provisions of Article 25 of the Karabük University Associate and Undergraduate Education-Training and Examination Regulations and the Karabük University Exam Center Directorate Directive.
• A disciplinary report will be filed against students who attempt to cheat, cheat, assist those who cheat, have someone else take the exam on their behalf, take the exam on behalf of someone else, disrupt the general order during the exam, or possess communication tools in the exam hall, and these students will be given a grade of 0 (zero) for that exam. In addition, the provisions set forth in Article 54 concerning the disciplinary affairs of students of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 dated 4/11/1981 shall apply to such students.
