Engineering Education Programs Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MÜDEK) is a non-governmental organization operating to contribute to the improvement of the quality of engineering education in Turkey by conducting accreditation, evaluation and information studies for engineering education programs in different disciplines.
MÜDEK was established in 2002 by the Engineering Deans Council (MDK), which consists of the deans of faculties providing engineering education in Turkey and the TRNC, to organize and implement a detailed program for the evaluation of engineering undergraduate programs within these faculties, called the Engineering Evaluation Board, as an independent non-governmental platform. was established.
MÜDEK's Purpose
MÜDEK's mission is to contribute to the improvement of the quality of engineering education in Turkey by carrying out accreditation, evaluation and information studies for engineering education programs in different disciplines, thereby improving the welfare of the society by training better trained and more qualified engineers who understand current and developing technologies.
National Recognition
The application made by MÜDEK to the Council of Higher Education on October 31, 2007 was approved at the General Assembly meeting of the Board held on November 16, 2007, and in accordance with article 7/e of the relevant regulation, a national, sectoral and program qualification-oriented national quality in the engineering programs of higher education institutions was determined. It has been decided that it is appropriate to be recognized by the Council of Higher Education as an assurance institution and to obtain a Quality Evaluation Certificate with a validity period of five years.

MÜDEK has been a full member of the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE) since 17 November 2006.
Washington Accord Signatory:
MÜDEK has become a full member of the Washington Accord, a multilateral accreditation recognition agreement under the umbrella of the International Engineering Alliance (IEA) since June 15, 2011.
It is aimed that our graduates have a diploma valid all over the world and demonstrate that they are quality engineers. In this context: Karabük University Engineering Faculty Computer Engineering Department has been using a curriculum that complies with MÜDEK criteria since 2018. At the end of the 2021-2022 academic year, the first graduates of the curriculum in accordance with MÜDEK criteria will be given. Currently, studies are underway to initiate the accreditation application process.
Karabük University Faculty of Engineering Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering adopted the curriculum recommended by MÜDEK in the 2018 academic year. At the end of the 2021-2022 academic year, MÜDEK will give its first graduates within the scope of the curriculum. Applications are planned to start the accreditation processes in the 2022-2023 academic year.
Karabuk University Engineering Faculty Civil Engineering Department adopted the curriculum recommended by MÜDEK in the 2018 academic year. At the end of the 2021-2022 academic year, MÜDEK will give its first graduates within the scope of the curriculum. Applications are planned to start the accreditation processes in the 2022-2023 academic year.
