    Brief Description of the Job:
    To ensure that the necessary services are provided in the event of emergencies such as natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, fires, explosions, or urgent medical interventions in the faculty building, and to prevent harm to people and physical elements or to minimize any damage they may incur.
    Duties, Powers, and Responsibilities
    • The team formed by the faculty administration ensures the effectiveness, continuity and systematicity of emergency and disaster management activities, taking into account the size of the institution and the diversity of services.
    • Employees who will be on duty in an emergency are determined along with their backups and their responsibilities are defined.
    • Team work is carried out by the team leader and the secretariat with the approval of the Dean.
    • Conducts risk analysis studies according to the physical structure and service areas of the institution, determines and follows up the measures to be taken to reduce and prevent the identified risks.
    • Risk assessments are conducted for emergency management. Risk assessments cover earthquakes, floods, landslides, fires, epidemics, terrorist attacks, sabotage, migration, industrial explosions, nuclear and chemical accidents, poisoning, and war.
    • Prepares emergency and disaster plans. The plan must be reviewed and revised at a frequency determined by the institution.
    He/she is responsible to the Dean's Office for the fulfillment of the above-mentioned duties.

    Brief Description of the Position:
    To contribute to the processes of generating scientific output and social contribution by planning and organizing meetings, promotions, and events within the Faculty of Engineering. This committee is also responsible for keeping all pages, announcements, and event information on the Faculty website up-to-date.
    Duties, Powers, and Responsibilities
    • To prepare, develop, determine strategies, organize, follow up and finalize projects related to the faculty's promotional activities,
    • To conduct studies to increase the recognition of the Faculty in national and international arena,
    • Developing strategies for effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders,
    • To organize faculty promotion days,
    • To ensure the preparation and printing of necessary documents, booklets and brochures for the promotional days,
    • To organize scientific and social seminars, conferences and meetings of the faculty and to be the coordinator of these organizations,
    • Organizing career days that will bring together our students and employers,
    • Programming of social events such as social outings, celebrations, etc.
    • Providing information and assistance to disadvantaged students studying at our faculty and other disadvantaged individuals interested in the field of engineering,

    To conduct, manage, and organize the operations of faculty departments related to professional training in business.
    Duties, Authorities, and Responsibilities
    • To inform students about relevant issues during their vocational training in the business and to make necessary announcements,
    • Determining the suitability of the enterprises where vocational training will be provided, based on the applications submitted within the deadline,
    • To ensure that vocational training is carried out in the enterprise within the scope of the relevant legislation,
    • To determine the general content of the practical training file in which students will record their work activities during their vocational training at the enterprise,
    • To determine the procedures and principles of departmental applied training in order to provide vocational training in the enterprise in accordance with the requirements of the department and to submit them to the approval of the department board,
    • To carry out the measurement and evaluation of the achievements obtained at the end of vocational training in the enterprise or to form sub-committees, including the responsible teaching staff, to carry out this process when necessary,
    • To solve problems that may arise regarding vocational training in the business and to report unresolved issues to the faculty/college applied training coordinator and the dean's office,

    Brief Description of the Position:
    Ensures that the faculty members responsible for the common, compulsory, and elective courses decided to be offered in line with the needs of the Faculty during the fall, spring, and summer school semesters are defined in the Student Information System (OSS) and that the Faculty curriculum is prepared in the most appropriate manner possible in accordance with the Faculty's policy decisions and physical conditions.
    Duties, Authorities, and Responsibilities
    • The Course Operations Committee and its members are formed by the Dean and carry out their activities after the approval of the Board of Directors.
    • It determines in which semester the elective courses, which can be opened independently of the semester in the course curriculum, should be taught.
    • Prepares weekly course schedules at the beginning of the semester.
    • It determines the day and time of the courses with specific terms, based on the course availability of the faculty members who will teach the courses within the relevant terms.
    • If deemed necessary during the semester, changes are made to the days and hours of classes and ensure that students and faculty members are informed about the changes.
    • Commission members continue their duties until a new appointment is made.
    • If a commission member leaves for any reason, a new member is appointed by the dean's office.
    He/she is responsible to the Dean's Office for the fulfillment of the above-mentioned duties.

    Brief Description of the Position
    : This committee's purpose is to facilitate the initiation of national and international relations between the faculty and departments within the framework of bilateral agreements, programs, and projects, and to initiate, maintain, and develop these relations. In line with the university's internationalization goals, the committee aims to ensure that faculty students and faculty gain international experience in their educational and research activities, to assist students and scholars from foreign universities in integrating with the university, and to contribute to the development of both the university and the province of Karabük by enabling the university to benefit from international programs and projects.
    It conducts faculty and student exchange programs such as Mevlana, Farabi, and Erasmus, and communicates with universities abroad to establish bilateral agreements tailored to the needs of the faculty and relevant department.
    Duties, Powers, and Responsibilities
    • Coordinates activities related to the national and international promotion and relations of the faculty (Mevlana, Erasmus and Farabi).
    • It determines the position of the faculty in the national/international relations process, identifies new developments and sets the direction.
    • It ensures the functioning of the exchange processes of students and academic staff within the scope of Erasmus / Mevlana / Farabi within the framework of the regulations and carries out bilateral agreement studies.
    • It ensures coordination and cooperation between relevant Commissions of other Departments within the Faculty.
    • Fulfills the duties assigned by the Dean's Office regarding national/international relations and is responsible for change and improvements.
    • It follows up the procedures of students participating in exchange programs and carries out the procedures related to incoming students within this scope.
    • Organizes information meetings (separately for outgoing and incoming students).
    • Introducing Exchange Programs within the Faculty and preparing promotional materials.
    • Determines whether the courses planned to be taken at the host university through the exchange program are compatible with the departmental curriculum. Works closely with the departmental Curriculum Committee and Exemption Procedures Committee.
    • Performs other duties assigned by laws and regulations.
    • He/she reports the decisions taken by the commission to the Dean's Office.

    Brief Description of the Position:
    Maintains the faculty's laboratory and infrastructure inventory, prepares laboratory equipment instructions and positions them visibly near the equipment, maintains records of students working in the laboratory, conducts future renovation and improvement projects for the laboratory, reports deficiencies in laboratory equipment and consumables to the department head, identifies and reports equipment requiring maintenance and repair, and organizes special laboratory cleaning tasks. The Laboratory Committee's duties and responsibilities include overseeing the practical training areas in the faculty's laboratories, planning needs and communicating them to the relevant units, and recording and resolving any problems or disruptions that may arise during use.
    Duties, Powers, and Responsibilities
    • It ensures that the faculty's infrastructure, laboratories and classes are developed in accordance with the targeted accreditation criteria.
    • It checks the infrastructure measures taken for the disabled and works to identify and eliminate any deficiencies, if any.
    • Prepares and updates the inventory list of hardware and software available in faculty laboratories.
    • Checks the calibration status of existing devices in the laboratory and has these devices calibrated when necessary.
    • Labels the name and instructions for use on existing devices in the laboratory.
    • Ensures the orderly and efficient use of laboratories by coordinating the technicians, research assistants and students working in the laboratories.
    • Prepares necessary warning and caution signs against safety and work accidents and determines their locations.
    • Follows up meetings/events regarding safety and workplace accident prevention measures and ensures that department staff and students are informed.
    • Prepares proposals for new devices and equipment to be purchased for the laboratory by coordinating with relevant faculty members.
    • At the end of each semester, the committee prepares an activity presentation regarding its work and presents it to the Faculty Academic Council.

    Brief Description of the Position:
    To establish an internal and external quality assurance system within our faculty, to determine quality indicators, and to carry out work within this framework in accordance with the procedures and principles established by the Quality Commission. To make the necessary preparations for the external evaluation process regarding the departments, to provide all necessary support to the Higher Education Quality Board and external evaluation institutions during the audit process regarding the departments, and to work in collaboration with the departmental quality commissions.
    Duties, Powers, and Responsibilities
    • It ensures that the activities to be carried out in the process of evaluating and improving the quality of education, training and research activities and administrative services are carried out in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by the University Quality Commission and in accordance with the strategic plan and objectives of the University and the Faculty.
    • Every year, periodically, in January of the following year, the University prepares the Final Performance Programme for that year, taking into account the annual internal or external evaluation report, the results of the internal periodic reviews, the annual report of the University Quality Commission and the relevant decisions of its higher boards, adhering to the strategic plan for the next calendar year, and creates and executes improvement action plans accordingly.
    • It determines the success indicators of the Faculty activities and carries out the work to be done within this scope in line with the procedures and principles determined by the Higher Education Quality Board and also reports these works to the Dean's Office for the approval of the Faculty Board.
    • Determines the quality objectives of the faculty.
    • It ensures that the concept of quality is adopted by all employees.
    • Prepares the Faculty Internal Evaluation Report.
    • Makes the necessary preparations for certification studies to be carried out by independent organizations regarding the Faculty's Quality Management System.
    • To announce the decisions of the Faculty Quality Commission to the relevant sub-units of the Faculty, to contribute to the implementation of the sub-units and to monitor their results,
    • In the implementation of quality management processes, it contributes to the creation of an institutional culture based on participation, more effective and efficient use of Faculty resources, improvement of processes and provision of quality service.
    • The Faculty submits the annual report regarding its activities to the Dean's Office to be submitted to the University Quality Commission by the end of December.
    • It organizes and carries out quality assessment and assurance studies and accreditation studies established within the faculty.
    • Prepares improvement action plans to improve areas that are open to improvement as a result of internal or external evaluation, determines which improvements should be completed, under whose responsibility, when and for how long, and executes the improvement action plan in cooperation with the relevant units, obtaining approval from the Dean's Office.
    • Organizes periodic review meetings and reports the evaluation results to the Dean's Office to be presented to the Faculty Board.
    • Reports the results of internal and external evaluations made in the faculty to the Dean's Office for public announcement.
    He/she is responsible to the Dean's Office for the fulfillment of the above-mentioned duties.

    Brief Description of the Role:
    The Accreditation Commission's duty is to inform the departmental curriculum committee of the requirements for the Faculty of Engineering undergraduate program curriculum to comply with MÜDEK criteria and to provide feedback on the resulting curriculum's compatibility.
    It also directs the structuring and sustainable development of the Bologna process within the Faculty.
    Duties, Powers, and Responsibilities
    • Monitors and coordinates the Faculty's MÜDEK activities.
    • Examines and gives opinions on relevant issues on the agenda of the Academic Boards of the departments in terms of curriculum compatibility.
    • To follow the education and training activities carried out in the department in terms of curriculum,
    • It notifies the department curriculum committees about the requirements for arranging the department curriculum in line with MÜDEK criteria.
    • It determines the closeness of the curriculum to international standards in order to keep it up to date.
    • Communicates with external stakeholders and evaluates and gives opinions on new courses and activities that are desired to be included in the curriculum.
    • Directs the work of other commissions in line with MÜDEK expectations.
    • Coordinates the preparation of documents and materials to be submitted to the MÜDEK Evaluation Team.
    • Conducts accreditation procedures.
    • Coordinates the preparation of unit self-assessment reports within the scope of MÜDEK.
    • Organizes all the operations to be carried out within the department within the scope of MÜDEK and makes the necessary warnings.
    • MÜDEK organizes the department visit.
    • It carries out the necessary activities and makes decisions to correct the deficiencies, weaknesses, etc. specified in the reports of MÜDEK evaluation teams.
    • When necessary, it establishes sub-committees and distributes tasks, and provides information on the subject at Faculty Board meetings.
    • Plans tasks and determines priorities in accordance with the determined work schedule.
    • Ensures that the Bologna process studies are carried out completely on behalf of the Faculty, requests and follows up the activities to be carried out on the basis of the Departments and relevant units.
    • It develops principles and recommendations to ensure compliance within the scope of the Bologna process, provides the correct inputs in accordance with quality standards in order to achieve the objectives related to the process, determines, prepares and has prepared the necessary documents and guides.
    • If necessary and requested, it organizes training seminars with the participation of authorized personnel from the University Information Technology Department and the Bologna Coordination Office to provide information on issues related to the Bologna process.
    • The Student Affairs Presidency, in cooperation with the Information Technology Department and the University Bologna Coordinatorship, ensures the control of Bologna information entry for all faculty academic units.
    • In order to effectively carry out the above-mentioned duties on a Faculty basis, it creates facilitating subgroups from the relevant Departments when necessary and, in this context, assigns the Faculty academic and administrative staff to activities related to the Bologna process.
    He/she is responsible to the Dean's Office for the fulfillment of the above-mentioned duties.

    Brief Description of the Task
    : The Commission's working methodology is to develop a university-industry collaboration policy, taking into account dynamics such as R&D, human resources, research infrastructure, entrepreneurship, strategic areas, and industrial participation, as well as other important policies such as education, employment, industry, exports, and so on. This policy guides industry and universities within the framework of this policy, and monitors and coordinates the process through the necessary mechanisms.
    Duties, Powers, and Responsibilities
    • It determines R&D strategies and carries out studies in order to strengthen the cooperation between faculty and private sector (production, industry, marketing) in the field of engineering.
    • It creates collaboration with stakeholders working in the private and public sectors who need R&D work in their field.
    • It collaborates with the private sector and encourages project work on issues that the private sector needs.
    • In this context, it determines the current status of the relationship between the parties, works to resolve any problems, develops joint project ideas and carries out projects together.
    • It creates and monitors the infrastructure of projects and cooperation agreements to be made in the sector by faculty units or teaching staff.
    • It brings together researchers, sector representatives, sector organizations and relevant public institutions to produce common wisdom regarding our areas of activity.
    He/she is responsible to the Dean's Office for the fulfillment of the above-mentioned duties.
