2021 - 2022 Fall Semester MEM470 Workplace Training and Application Application
As of 2021-2022 Fall Semester, MEM470 Workplace Training and Practice course will be opened. You can access detailed information about the Workplace Training course, the process flow chart and application documents from the 7+1 Workplace Training tab on the section page.

According to the Workplace Training and Practice Directive;
  • Workplace Education and Practice course can be taken only in one of the 7th or 8th semesters. The list of students who can take the Workplace Education and Practice course in the 7th or 8th semesters will be determined according to their grade point average. In case of mutual agreement of the students, a change of term (1 time) will be allowed. 
  • Students who do Workplace Training and Practice can only include courses related to applied education and courses that do not require attendance. This issue will be checked by the advisors in the course registration.
  • Workplace Training and Practice period is carried out in the 7th or 8th semesters during a 1-semester (15-week) course.
  • Students cannot leave the workplace without permission. Workplace Training and Practice is compulsory. During the Workplace Training and Practice, a maximum of 20% can be absent. The attendance requirement of the students will be checked on the attendance chart.
  • Students cannot participate in night shift and overtime work at their workplaces. Students are required to work no more than 45 hours a week during daytime working hours.
  • Within the framework of the provisions of the law numbered 7033, if the YÖK executive board deems it appropriate, the university can pay the students who do Workplace Training and Practice in private sector enterprises, technoparks, research infrastructures, R&D centers or industrial establishments. Otherwise, no fee is paid by the university.
 
Students who will choose the MEM470 Workplace Training and Practice course for the 2021-2022 Fall Semester must submit the "Appendix-1 Workplace Training and Practice Application and Acceptance" and "Appendix-2 Workplace Training and Practice Agreement" documents, which are stamped and signed by the companies they have agreed with, on the Online Application Form. They must be delivered by Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the latest.

Note: The list announced is for students who are subject to the 2018 and later curriculum and can choose the MEM470 Workplace Education and Practice course. If there are students on the list who are subject to the pre-2018 curriculum, they do not need to take any action.
