Upon the requests of our students who want to take the Workplace Application and Practice course even though attendance is compulsory, our Dean's Office asked the Directorate of Student Affairs of our university whether Workplace Application and Practice can be carried out together with the courses that are compulsory for formal and secondary education.
In the written reply, it was informed that the courses that are compulsory according to the 22nd Clause 2nd Clause of the KBU Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulation and the 11th Clause 2nd Clause of the KBU Engineering Faculty Workplace Application and Practice Directive cannot be carried out together with the Workplace Application and Practice.
“According to this information, students in this situation will not be able to take the workplace application and practice course (including the 2nd Education students) since the 4th grade course cannot be taken without taking the courses that require attendance from the lower grades.”
NOTE: Students who will do internship in companies that offer quota for Workplace Application and Practice to our Faculty and Department, contact the companies without the knowledge of the department commission (for cases such as signing documents, starting an internship, etc.), causing disruptions in the application and admission process. In order to avoid such situations, it is necessary to contact the company through the department coordinators.
