Medical engineers play an important role in the development of new techniques and devices to use them in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Medical Engineering provides a bridge between the theoretical and applied engineering sciences and health and life, thus involves interdisciplinary workspace in fields like medicine, materials engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, physics, chemistry etc.

According to the results of Undergraduate Placement Examination (YKS) department accepts once in a year 16 students for daytime education (30% English). Students are obliged to take Foreign Language Preparation education via completing the training given by the English High School or be exempted from it because of the 30% English education language of the department.
