Karabuk University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department was established in 2009.  undergraduate education was started in the 2010-2011 academic year ( I. and II. in 30% English and 100% English programs). Our undergraduate programs had their first graduates at the end of the 2014-2015 academic year. Master's and PhD programs were also accepted by YÖK in 2009 and the first graduates of the Master's program were given at the end of 2011. There are 8 departments in our department: Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Theory, Electronics, Electrical Machines, Circuits and Systems, Telecommunication, Photonics and Optoelectronics, Control and Command Systems and Electrical Facilities.

As Karabuk University, it has been ranked 10th among universities in Turkey in the Times Higher Education (THE) 2020 ranking, one of the most respected university rating organizations in the world. In addition, since it is close to Ankara, there are training staff that cooperate with institutions such as TÜBİTAK and ASELSAN and especially carry out defense industry projects.

Karabuk University has achieved a great success by being among the top 1000 universities in the world in the 2020 ranking of Times Higher Education (THE), one of the most respected university rating organizations in the world. According to the ranking, Karabük University showed great success and became one of the "Best 1000 Universities in the World". While 11 universities from Turkey managed to enter the top 1000 in the ranking, Karabük University ranked 10th and became the only university that managed to enter the list outside of Ankara and Istanbul.

Laboratories

1. Mechatronics Laboratory
It is a laboratory where our 1st and 2nd year students can perform applications related to the basic courses of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. There are 20 sets of oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies and multimeters in this laboratory. Our students reinforce the theoretical subjects with related applications by making measurements on the circuits they have built on the boards.

2. Electronics Laboratory
It offers our 2nd and 3rd year students an application environment where they can observe the necessary applications for Analog and Digital Electronics lessons on ready-made sets.

3. Computer Laboratory

4. Logic Laboratory

5. Machine Laboratory

A "Trainee Engineering Program" protocol was signed between Karabuk University and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ/TAI), operating to meet Turkey's domestic and national air platform needs. With the said protocol, students studying in the 3rd and 4th grades of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical-Electronics / Communication Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering Departments of Karabuk University will have the opportunity to do internship and employment at TAI. . According to the "Intern Engineering Program" protocol, candidates who will work as trainee engineers will work at TAI at least 1 full day a week. Interns who will be insured by the university during their employment will also receive remuneration for their work at TAI.
