Frequently asked questions about internship
1) How should I prepare my internship book?
 
Answer: The internship notebook is written in the prepared notebook format digitally day by day and then printed and signed by the relevant engineer for each day. Necessary places are stamped with workplace stamp.

2) In which language should I write the internship book?
 
Answer: The internship book can be filled in English or Turkish, if desired. There is no distinction in language for students who study 30% English or 100% English.
 
3) What kind of workplace should I do an internship?
 
Answer: There is no serious limitation on the workplace. In order to be able to do an internship at a workplace, it is sufficient to have at least one engineer working in our field.
Engineers related to our field: Electrical Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Electrical-Electronics Engineer, Biomedical Engineer, Medical Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer, Computer Engineer, Communications Engineer etc.
 
4) Can I attend summer school and do an internship in the same summer?
 
Answer: If the internship and summer school dates do not coincide, students can both attend summer school and do internships in the same summer.
 
5) When should I do the internship?
 
Answer: Internship periods start after the Spring Semester Make-Up Exams specified in the academic calendar and end at the beginning of the Fall Semester course. Students who do not have a make-up exam can start their internship following the end of the final exams, with the decision of the Department Chair. Therefore, students can do internship by determining 20 working days without interruption from these internship periods.
 
6) Can I do two internships in one summer?
 
Answer: Students will not be allowed to do two internships in a semester. However, students in special situations will be able to do two internships in one semester, with the decision of the Department Chair.
Students in special situation: Students who have completed their first internship and failed and are in the position of finishing school the following year, students who could not do their first internship due to various reasons and are in the position of finishing school the following year.
 
7) Can I do my two internships at the same workplace?
 
Answer: Industry Internship-1 and Industry Internship-2 can be done in different departments of the same enterprise.
 
8) Can I do an internship abroad?
 
Answer: The internship place must be approved and approved by the Departmental Internship Coordinator. Internships can also be done abroad through public and private institutions.
 
9) When and where should I submit my internship book?
 
Answer: Every student doing the internship has to submit the internship book to the research assistants responsible for the internship within 15 (fifteen) days at the latest as of the beginning of the course specified in the academic calendar of the academic semester following the internship. Internship responsible research assistants can be learned from the section related to internship on the department website.

10) What should I pay attention to while preparing the internship book?

11) Where and how can I learn my internship result?
 
Answer: Since the internships at our university are considered courses, the Midterm and Final grades of these courses must be entered. The result of the evaluation of the internship commission on the internship is entered into the automation system as G (Pass) or K (Fail) as the fall semester general exam grade following the end of the internship, on whichever Faculty Member the internship course appears on.
 
12) Can I change my internship place or internship dates after I have applied for an internship?
 
Answer: Students who apply for a new internship place at the latest two weeks before the internship date applied before and the date of the new internship to start can change their internship place or internship date.
 
13) What should I do if I do not have enough credits to take the Internship course even though I am successful in the internship?
 
Answer: The internship course must be taken in the first fall semester following the summer semester. Otherwise, the student's summer internship will be deemed invalid. Therefore, students who do internship should take the internship course first.

14) Can I take the internship course in summer school?
 
Answer: Only graduate students can take the internship course in summer school.

15) I am not allowed to take photos at my internship workplace, what should I do in this case?
 
Answer: While the internship book is being prepared in workplaces where taking photographs is prohibited, only the information learned during the internship is recorded in the book and a document showing that taking photos is prohibited in the workplace is added to the internship book.
