Software Engineering Department Introduction
Software Engineering Undergraduate Program; It aims to train engineers who can identify user needs, design and develop software, use information technologies to meet the needs in the industry, keep up with changes and produce solutions with the contribution of basic engineering and mathematics. Students who successfully complete the department in software projects; They will be Software Engineers equipped to take place at all levels such as analysis, design, coding, testing and management, who can develop mobile and web-based applications, and who have knowledge and experience in the most up-to-date fields such as data science and artificial intelligence.
 
Karabuk University, which will start undergraduate education in 2022-2023, will take 40 students in Software Engineering, the language of education is Turkish. English is not a compulsory preparation, and our students will start from the 1st grade. In the first years of the four-year education period, basic engineering courses are given; In the third and fourth years, in addition to the compulsory software engineering courses, it will be possible to choose many elective courses. In addition, they will be able to receive practical training in a software company for one semester in their final year. 1 Associate Professor and 4 Doctoral Faculty Members are working in our department.
 
The Software Engineering Department is located within the Faculty of Engineering, on the Karabük University Demir Çelik Campus. In this campus, our students are offered practical and theoretical education as well as social opportunities. Our department develops both its academic staff and its infrastructure in a way that keeps up with the changes in software technologies by offering a quality education opportunity to its students; It aims to train Software Engineers who are knowledgeable, conscious, keep themselves up to date, and attach importance to ethical values.
