Among the students who applied to our Faculty's programs within the scope of the Provisional Article 85 added to the Higher Education Law No. 2547 by the Law No. 7592;

Students who applied to the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (Turkish) and Railway Systems Engineering (Turkish) programs have been admitted to programs providing 100% English-medium instruction due to the closure of the relevant programs,

Students who applied to the Computer Engineering (Distance Education) program have been admitted to the Computer Engineering (30% English) program.
have been accepted.
Due to the difference in the medium of instruction of the programs in question, the foreign language proficiency requirement to be applied is regulated in accordance with Article 26 of the Implementation Principles for Provisional Article 85 Added to the Higher Education Law No. 2547 by the Law No. 7592,
“In the event that students whose enrollment was terminated from programs where the medium of instruction is Turkish and who subsequently enrolled in programs where the medium of instruction is entirely a foreign language or at least 30% a foreign language fail to meet the foreign language proficiency condition, they shall continue their education in a program at the university where the medium of instruction is Turkish, if available; if there is no program with Turkish as the medium of instruction, they shall be sent to the Council of Higher Education to be placed in another higher education institution with 5 preferences to be made, taking into account their OSYS/YKS base score in the year they were placed in the program in question”

Steps to be Followed Within the Scope of the Mentioned Article:

Students who do not have a sufficient exam score will take the Foreign Language Exemption and Proficiency Exams to be conducted by the School of Foreign Languages. Students who achieve a sufficient score in the exam will continue their education from the year/class to which their adjustments have been made. Students returning with amnesty are required to be present at the office of Asst. Prof. Dr. Kürşat ARSLAN, Vice Director of the School of Foreign Languages, on September 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM for the locations of the proficiency exam.

Students who cannot meet the foreign language proficiency condition will be reported to the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education to be placed in another higher education institution through 5 preferences they will make, taking into account their OSYS/YKS base scores in the year they were placed.
