Brief Description of the Duty
The Faculty Board holds its regular meetings at the beginning and end of each semester. The Dean calls the Faculty Board to a meeting when deemed necessary. The Faculty Board provides its opinions to the Dean's Office and assists in making decisions regarding the Faculty. It may establish temporary working groups, education and training committees or coordinators when deemed necessary and regulate their duties.

  • To decide on the faculty's education, scientific research and publication activities and the principles, plans, programs and education-training calendar related to these activities,
  • To elect members to the faculty board of directors,
  • To perform other duties assigned by laws and regulations.

Brief Description of the Position
The Faculty Board of Directors meets upon the call of the Dean. The Board of Directors may establish temporary working groups and education-training coordinators as deemed necessary and regulate their duties.

  • To assist the dean in the implementation of the principles determined by the faculty board's decisions,
  • To ensure the implementation of the faculty's education-training plans and programs and academic calendar,
  • To prepare the faculty's investment, program and budget proposal,
  • To make decisions on all matters brought forward by the Dean regarding faculty administration,
  • To decide on the admission of students, course adaptations and dismissals, and procedures related to education and examinations,
  • To perform other duties assigned by laws and regulations.

Brief Description of the Duty
An academic general assembly is established to ensure the effectiveness of the in-house scientific audit by evaluating the education-training, application and research activities in the faculty and to express opinions on these issues.
Duties, Powers and Responsibilities
  • The Academic General Assembly consists of faculty members and teaching assistants who are actually assigned to education in any way during the relevant period.
  • The chairman of the Academic General Assembly is the relevant Dean. In the absence of the Dean, the deputy chairs the assembly.
  • The Academic General Assembly meets regularly at the end of each academic year upon the call of the Dean. When necessary, the Dean may call an extraordinary meeting of the board.
  • The quorum for the academic general assembly meeting is more than half of the total number of members who constitute the board. However, members who are out of town or on leave due to their duties are not taken into account in calculating the quorum. The board that is postponed due to not meeting the quorum is called to a new meeting within fifteen days at the latest.
  • Academic boards review the scientific activities of the relevant unit, especially the education, training and research issues, and determine the recommendations in a report by discussing the issues to make the studies more efficient.
  • The Dean takes the necessary measures to make the work more efficient, taking into account the suggestions made at the meeting, and presents the results to the next academic board meeting.
  • In cases where the measures to be taken are under the authority of other institutions and authorities, the matter is forwarded to the Rectorate through the Dean for the necessary intervention.

Brief Description of the Position
The Faculty Advisory Board is established and operates to ensure sustainable collaboration and share experience with external stakeholders. The Faculty Advisory Board includes external stakeholder representatives and administrative and academic staff appointed to the committee.

Duties, Authorities, and Responsibilities
  • To strengthen relationships and develop collaborations between the Faculty and other institutions to ensure the effective execution of education, research, development, community service, and administrative work processes.
  • To advise on the determination of research and development strategies, quality policies, and priority research and community service areas during the preparation of the Faculty's strategic plan.
  • To evaluate the implementation results of the Faculty's strategic plan and quality assurance system and provide recommendations for improvement when necessary.
  • To provide information and advice on current international, national, and regional needs that should be considered in the development and updating of education and training programs, as well as the expected competencies of graduates.
  • To provide recommendations and take initiatives at the institutional level to ensure the effective implementation of activities such as internships, projects, graduation projects, and theses, which are part of education and training programs.
  • To organize mentoring/coaching programs that contribute to the personal development of students during their education at the Faculty, and to organize meetings where expertise and work experiences are shared. To provide recommendations for the faculty's research and development activities to meet current scientific and societal needs and to take initiatives at the institutional level to direct these needs to the faculty.
  • To provide initiatives at the institutional level in the preparation and implementation of community service projects involving the faculty's students, academic, and administrative staff.
  • To provide recommendations for the establishment of the necessary physical/technical infrastructure and financial resources for the conduct of education, research, development, and management activities.
  • To provide recommendations for the establishment of good governance.
  • To provide recommendations for the preservation of the competencies of education, research, and administrative staff.
  • To provide recommendations and take initiatives at the institutional level to increase the recognition of the university.
  • With the authority granted by the Dean and the Faculty Board, the faculty is responsible for the areas defined within its core area of ​​responsibility.

Brief Description of the Duty
The Faculty Disciplinary Board is responsible for running and deciding on disciplinary processes initiated in case of non-compliance with the mandatory provisions of the legislation for the Faculty students, academic and administrative staff.
Duties, Powers and Responsibilities
  • To decide on the disciplinary penalties to be given to students who do not fulfill the duties assigned to them by the law, bylaw, regulation and directives within and outside the higher education institution, who do not comply with the required rules, who do prohibited acts or who behave in a manner or behavior incompatible with the student status, honor and dignity, in accordance with the Higher Education Student Disciplinary Regulations.
  • To act in accordance with the provisions of the Higher Education Institutions Student Disciplinary Regulation, Higher Education Institutions Administrators, Academic Staff and Officers Disciplinary Regulation, and the Civil Servants Law No. 657,
