Industrial Engineering is a collection of opportunities that applies "optimization-based" methods to make production and service systems operate more efficiently. Industrial Engineering is the art of recognizing opportunities.
Our department was established in 2008 within the Faculty of Engineering. Undergraduate education and teaching activities began in the 2009/2010 academic year with the admission of 40 first-shift and 40 second-shift students. In addition to undergraduate programs, our department currently offers master's programs and a joint doctoral program in collaboration with Sakarya University. The undergraduate program lasts for four years, with Turkish as the language of instruction, and accepts both regular and second-shift students.
Our department carries out its teaching and research activities with 2 Professors, 1 Associate Professor, 6 Assistant Professors, and 2 Research Assistants. Within the department, there is one seminar hall, four classrooms, and two laboratories.
