There is a mandatory internship for students in the Chemistry Department at Karabük University. Internships are conducted during the summer term at the end of the third year (sixth semester) and consist of 30 workdays with an 8-hour workday, totaling 240 hours. An internship information meeting is held in the sixth semester, and students who will be intern that summer are required to attend. Students are required to apply for internships during the summer term of each academic year, following the application calendar announced before the end of the spring semester. Internships can be completed in the Research and Development laboratories, production and quality control laboratories of industrial workplaces operating in the Department of Chemistry's departments of analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and biochemistry, as well as in the research laboratories of university Chemistry Departments. Upon completion of their internships by following the Internship Process Flowchart, students register for the Internship course in the seventh semester.
