2024-2025 Academic Year Summer Internship Dates and Important Announcements
2024-2025 ACADEMIC YEAR SUMMER INTERNSHIP DATES AND IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS
During the summer term of the 2024-2025 academic year, students who will undergo a 20-day internship are required to adhere to the following principles:
1. In our department, there are Practice I at the end of the 2nd year and Practice II at the end of the 3rd year.
2. Students are required to carry out their internships in accordance with the KBU (UNIKA) Application Directive on Applied Training.
3. Students whose insurance entry procedures have been completed must submit documents indicating the reason for any changes or cancellations of the internship dates to the department secretary along with a petition.
4. Internships cannot be conducted on official holidays and Sundays; therefore, students must check their declared dates in advance.
5. Students who wants complete two separate internships have the opportunity to complete their internships for a period of 40 days without any gaps between the internship dates. In this case, the students should upload two separate application and acceptance letters to the Google form. A separate internship book needs to be filled out for each internship.
6. Internships to be conducted during the summer term can commence after the completion of final/compensation exams.
7. Our students who will attend summer school, if offered, must adjust their internship dates according to the academic calendar of the summer school.
8. Since attendance is mandatory for all courses in summer school, internships cannot be conducted simultaneously with summer school. If conducted simultaneously, the internships completed by the students will be considered invalid.

10. Sample Internship Report and Internship Evaluation Receipt must be submitted in the specified formats. Additionally, when submitting internship record sheets, they must be enclosed in a sealed envelope with a signature, stamp, or seal on the envelope.
11. Students who will undergo internships during the 2024-2025 academic year summer term are required to upload the Applied Training (Compulsory Internship) Application and Acceptance Document related to their own program from the forms below, at least 2 weeks before the internship start date.
12. Students must have the Applied Training (Compulsory Internship) Application and Acceptance Document signed by the Mechanical Engineering Department Head.
13. The insurance certificate can be obtained from the e-Devlet system 2-3 days before the start date of the internship. The insurance start documents for the internship can be obtained through the e-Government system. After typing "4A İşe Giriş Çıkış Bildirgesi" into the search section of the e-Government system, you can obtain the relevant document by clicking on the "Belge oluştur" button next to the one with the Karabük Üniversitesi written at the top of the search results.
14. The premiums to be paid to domestic or foreign institutions engaged in insurance activities for the insurance of students who will undergo internships abroad will not be covered by the University.
15. Students whose internship dates coincide with the summer school or fall semester must complete the attendance commitment form provided here and upload it to the Google Form.
