The technical staff needs of the automotive industry are met by mechanical, electrical, electronic and industrial engineers, however, it takes time for these engineers to train and adapt to the industry. For this reason, the need for engineers who are directly specialized in automotive has arisen in the automotive industry.
The automotive engineering program, which provides undergraduate level engineering education to meet the needs of the automotive industry in our country, has been opened as of the 2009-2010 academic year.
In the Automotive Engineering Program, which is under the umbrella of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, students will receive training on application and design mainly. The undergraduate courses of the program are the same as the Mechanical Engineering basic courses, and students will gain proficiency in the automotive field by taking additional courses on the automotive branch. Students who graduate from the automotive engineering program will receive the title of "Automotive Engineer".
