According to the decision taken by our faculty, Our students will be able to do their summer term internship as of March if they comply with the section b of the article 5 of the KBU Faculties and Schools Internship Directive. Appropriate date intervals for internships have been determined and our students should pay attention to the following points.
- Based on the paragraph b of Article 5 of the KBU Faculties and Schools Internship Directive, an internship work day requires at least 7.5 hours of physical and mental work. If the internship place is also working on Saturdays, the student can continue the internship on Saturdays, provided that this situation is documented. The student can work up to 45 hours a week. Internships are not allowed on Sundays and public holidays.
- Based on paragraph b of the section 5 of 9th article of the Biomedical Engineering Department Internship Instructions, at least one internship will not be required for all students in the hospital. In other words, an internship may not be made in the hospital.
- Based on the section 3 of 8th article of the Biomedical Engineering Department Internship Instructions, in order to carry out insurance procedures, students who will do internship must submit the required documents completely by the date specified by the Department Internship Commission. Students must send their Appendix-2 Document on the Internship Information Form before the Deadline specified for the date range they want to do internship.
NOTE:
> Students who will do internship must fill the Internship Information Form after receiving the Appendix-2 Document.
> The signed Appendix-2 Document should be scanned and uploaded to the Internship Information Form in PDF format. The information filled in the form must be correct and compliant with the attached Appendix-2 Document.
> Students who will do internship in the TÜBİTAK STAR program are also required to fill out this form and upload the Application Approval Document indicating that they have been accepted to the program instead of the Appendix-2 Document.
> Internship workplaces will not be accepted for students who didn't complete the form information.
> Students can start their internship after getting approval from the internship commission. Internships started without the approval of the internship commission are not valid.

If our students, who could not graduate only because they cannot give the Industrial Practice I/II course(s), do their internship, their internship documents are evaluated early, regardless of their ability to take the single course exam. If they are successful as a result of the evaluation, they can pass the internship with the decision of the Department Board without losing a year.
