Grade Point Average (GAP) Requirement: Students applying for Optional (Voluntary) Internships must have a minimum GPA of 3,25 in accordance with the relevant Faculty Board Decision.

General Rules for Voluntary Internships:
  • Students who will start an internship must have completed their 2nd year of undergraduate studies.
  • Students may conduct an voluntary internship for a maximum of twice the duration of the compulsory internship [Directive Art. 15-(5)].
  • A written application must be submitted at least 15 days before the start date to allow sufficient time for insurance procedures.
  • Those who terminate their internship early must submit a reasoned petition immediately; otherwise, their subsequent applications will not be accepted.

Summer School and Voluntary Internship Planning: There is no available date range for voluntary internships for students who will participate in summer school.

Information: To begin your internship, you can obtain the necessary insurance commencement document by using the 'Create Document' button next to Karabuk University in the '4A Employment Entry and Exit Declaration' section of the e-Government system.
