Dear Students,
As it is known, the New Coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic continues at full speed in the world. In this process, taking into account the measures taken by our state, in the summer term of 2019-2020 Academic Year;
- Based on paragraph b of the section 5 of 9th article of the Biomedical Engineering Department Internship Instructions, at least one internship will not be required for all students in the hospital. In other words, an internship may not be made in the hospital in the summer.
- For the students who could not graduate due to the fact that they could not only give their internship courses based on the section 4 of 6th article of the Biomedical Engineering Department Internship Instructions, two internships that can hang in the education and examination periods in line with the decision taken by the Department Chairmanship, consecutively and it can be done in the same workplace. In other words, our students who can graduate will be able to do internships that can hang over the fall semester.
Students who will take courses in the Summer School can do internships between 08/06/2020 - 03/07/2020 or 17/08/2020 - 11/09/2020 for 20 working days. Students who will not take courses at the Summer School can do internships between 22/06/2020 - 11/09/2020 for 20 working days. Students who will stay both in Summer School and do internship between 08/06/2020 - 03/07/2020 should pay attention to the following points:
- Based on the section 2 of 7th article of the Biomedical Engineering Department Internship Instructions, these students can start their internship after the end of the spring term final exams provided that they use their right to absence in the part that coincides with the summer school.
- Based on the section 3 of 10th article of the Biomedical Engineering Department Internship Instructions, those who will take the make-up exam from these students can take the make-up exam from the company. However, they should add to the end of the internship until the day they take leave. (Insurance transactions of the days they take leave are under the responsibility of the student.)
NOTE:
Students who will do internship must fill the Internship Information Form after receiving the Appendix-2 Document. The signed Appendix-2 Document should be scanned and uploaded to the Internship Information Form in PDF format. Internship workplaces will not be accepted for students who didn't complete the form information.
Our students who want to do their internship on the Current Internship Dates must submit their Appendix-2 Documents through the Internship Information Form by 15 May at the latest.
