Second Place in 2242 University Students Research Project Competition - 2020
This competition, students from Karabük University's Departments of Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Medical Engineering won awards again in the "2242 University Student Research Project Competitions" organized by TÜBİTAK Science Human Support Programs Directorate, which is held every year in different categories for university students. In the competition, Karabük University students won first place in the "Education" category, third place in the "Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship" category, and first and third place in the "Health" category.
 
The Karabük University students who competed in the Ankara region in the research project competitions organized by TÜBİTAK to produce scientific solutions in areas where students need them, and to develop knowledge, skills, and innovative projects, returned with awards.
 
Durmuş Sarıkaya and Beyza Bacak, students from the Mechatronics Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering, achieved second place with their project "Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Capable of Vertical Takeoff from Warships" in the "Defense, Space and Aviation" category in which they competed. The project was supervised by Dr. Can Bülent Fidan from the Department of Mechatronics Engineering.
