In The Press - Obstacles Will Be Overcome by the Instructions Given with Eye

Four students of our first graduates, developed wheelchairs that can be used with eye commands of patients and disabled people who lost their mobility, rechargeable by solar energy, various calibration, contrast and brightness settings.
Halil Ibrahim Sahin, Mustafa Kucukakarsu, Kenan Unal and Halil Kekec, students of KBU Faculty of Engineering Biomedical Engineering Department, decided to make a project to facilitate the lives of people with disabilities within the scope of the social responsibility project.
Students developed quadriplegia patients (paralyzes affecting the arms and legs) and a wheelchair which can be moved back and forth, right and left and charged with solar energy.
KBU Biomedical Engineering Department Asst. Assoc. Dr. Ahmet Reşit Kavsaoğlu, AA correspondent, said the students had implemented a very succesfull project.
Kavsaoğlu stated that the students studying in the double major have the knowledge and experience to realize this project. "A year ago they provided a wheelchair which is not used with social responsibility", he said.
