• ARTICLE 6 - (5) a) Except for the one-year foreign language preparatory class, starting from the semester when the courses related to the program they are enrolled in are given, at least 1 (one) course in all semesters for a total of 4 (four), undergraduate students at least 1 (one) course in all semesters. A total of 8 (eight), Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry students must take a total of 8 (eight) ÜSD, including at least 1 (one) course in all semesters of the first four years, and be successful.
• ARTICLE 6 - (5) b) The number of ÜSD to be received by students who enroll through horizontal/vertical transfer, undergraduate completion and students who registered before the 2020-2021 academic year is determined on the basis of the curriculum year the students are affiliated with.
• ARTICLE 6 - (6) Students can take a maximum of 2 (two) ÜSD in all semesters upon their own request, however, university elective courses taken more than once in each semester cannot be counted towards the ÜSD required to be taken in the next and/or previous semesters.
• ARTICLE 6 - (7) University elective courses that students must take are not included in the ECTS credit calculations in Article 21 of the Karabük University Associate Degree, Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations regarding course taking. However, these courses they have taken are reflected on their transcripts along with their ECTS credits.
• ARTICLE 6 - (8) Instead of failing, students can take a different ÜSD that is included in their education plan in the same semester.

ARTICLE 6 - (3) Students cannot take courses with the same name/content, which are included as compulsory/elective courses in their education plans, from the university elective course pool.
