About Department
Biomedical Engineering Department at Karabük University was founded in 2012. In the same year, it started its teaching activities with 57 students. Our department is one of the first biomedical engineering departments among state universities in Turkey. It has 6 faculty members (2 associate professors, 2 assistant professors, and 2 research assistants).

Our department accepted undergraduate students who are selected by the National University Undergraduate Placement Exam (YKS) annually. The students have to complete two semesters of English preparation classes offered by Foreign Languages Preparation School or need pass an English proficiency exam to be exempt from this preparatory period. Undergraduate students have to complete 2 periods of summer practice. Therefore, students will gain experience in service sector and industry by using theoretical information that are learned in the class.
