About the Application for the 2025–2026 Academic Year Spring Semester Vocational Training in Business (7+1 Workplace Training and Practice)
1) Our 4th-year students who follow the 2018 curriculum and later curricula may take the İŞLETME 4G – Vocational Training in Business Course (7+1 Workplace Training and Practice) in their 7th or 8th semester, for only one semester, optionally (not compulsory).
2) Students who do not wish to take the Vocational Training in Business Course may complete their education as before by taking their regular courses defined for the 7th and 8th semesters. You can access detailed information about your curriculum on the department’s website.
3) The relevant forms, documents and process flowcharts for the Vocational Training in Business Course can be accessed via the “Applied Trainings” tab on the Karabük University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences website. Students who do not submit the requested documents will not be able to register for the Vocational Training in Business Course. The documents must be submitted to the stamped and wet-signed form to the Mechanical Engineering Department Secretariat.

6) Final submission deadline for delivering the documents to the department secretariat: 19 January 2026
7) The start and end dates of Vocational Training in Business must match the start and end dates of courses in the academic calendar.
PREREQUISITES for Students Who Want to Benefit from the Vocational Training in Business Course
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS!!!
1. In order to take the Vocational Training in Business Course, students must successfully complete “Occupational Health and Safety I” and “Occupational Health and Safety II” .
2. According to the Karabük University associate degree and undergraduate education and examination regulations, the Vocational Training in Business Course can be taken only by students who are in graduation status (eligible to graduate). In addition, if these students have lower-level (previous semester) courses, those courses must not have compulsory attendance requirements .
3. As of the 2025–2026 Academic Year, it has been decided by the Faculty Board that students applying for Vocational Training in Business (7+1) must have a minimum GPA of 2.50. Therefore, students with a GPA below 2.50 cannot apply for the Vocational Training in Business Course !
